Accessibility statement

This policy applies to the accessibility of the Laattapiste.fi online service. The statement was prepared on 3.6.2025 and updated on 27.6.2025.

The website aims to implement the criteria of the A and AA levels of the WCAG 2.2 guidelines. Our goal is to provide digital services that are accessible to all users. In this accessibility statement, we describe the shortcomings in the accessibility of the service. The accessibility of this service has been assessed by an external expert organisation. 

Accessibility status 

This service partially meets the requirements of levels A and AA of the WCAG criteria. The deviations we are aware of are listed on this page.

Non-accessible content 

The website does not comply with accessibility requirements in the following respects. There is a reference to the WCAG criterion in parentheses. 

  • Images lack alternative text alternatives or are inappropriate. (1.1.1).
  • No subtitles available for embedded video (1.2.2)
  • The structure and relationships of the parts of the website are not clear to the user of the assistive technology. (1.3.1).
  • Deficiencies in the contrast of UI components (1.4.3).
  • Some of the service's instructions (so-called tooltip) and some functions are not accessible with a keyboard (1.4.13, 2.1.1)
  • In the case of a page search, the order of focus is not logical. (2.4.3)
  • After submitting an incorrect field on the form, the focus moves to the beginning of the page, the user of the assistive device does not receive information about the error. (2.4.3)
  • Some of the links open in a new window without warning the user. The name of some links does not indicate the purpose of the link. (2.4.4)
  • Visible keyboard alignment is missing on several components. (2.4.7)
  • The mandatory questions on the appointment form are not marked. (3.3.1)
  • The name of several fields (label) is missing or not programmatically connected to the field (3.3.2)
  • The text conveyed to the assistive devices of some functions has not been translated into all languages, or the text displayed on the assistive device is otherwise incorrect. (4.1.2)
  • The code of the service contains errors that may affect the use of the website with assistive devices. (4.1.2)
  • The notification texts of the service are not forwarded to assistive devices (4.1.3). 

The accessibility of the service is developed as part of the maintenance and development of the service.

Accessibility feedback

We actively collect feedback from users and develop the accessibility of the website based on the feedback. If you notice any deficiencies on our website, please let us know primarily using the form. In your message, tell us which page and what kind of problem it is. We will reply to you within 14 days.

Supervisory authority

If you are not satisfied with the response you have received or do not receive a response within two weeks, you can report it to the supervisory authority. Traficom's website provides information on how to submit a notification and how the matter is processed.
